National Insurance Institute

The National Insurance Institute of Israel (NII) is one of the pillars on which social policy in Israel rests. Operating under the NI Law (Knesset, 1953), the NII aims to provide a financial basis for subsistence to weak populations and families in temporary or long-term need. This includes numerous programs focusing on, such as, senior citizens and survivors, maternity, children, work injuries, general disability, long-term care, unemployment, bankruptcy and liquidation of corporations.
